A stitch in time saves nine. We recommend that you attend regular routine dental examinations with
your dentist to ensure that problems with your oral health can be spotted and dealt with early, thus
minimising the need for any invasive or costly treatment.
Your examination is in fact an oral health check where we examine your oral tissues and the head
and neck area for any signs of cancer. We also examine your teeth and gums for signs of gum
disease or tooth decay. X-rays may also be taken of the teeth to check for decay in the hidden parts
of the teeth and to assess the health of the bone around the teeth.
Following the examination you will be advised of anything that has been found, how you could
improve things and you may even be praised for what you are getting right. We will also have a chat
about what options are available. We only develop treatment plans after establishing what you would
like to get out the treatment. We know that one size does not fit all and there are often a number of
options for every situation.
